Mathematics qualification enables learners to: • study knowledge of mathematical techniques beyond International GCSE Mathematics content • provide a course of study for those whose mathematical competence may have developed early • develop an understanding of mathematical reasoning and processes, and the ability to relate different areas of mathematics • enable students to acquire knowledge and skills with confidence, satisfaction and enjoyment • develop mathematical skills for further study in the subject or related areas.
English Language qualification enables learners to: • engage with and develop the ability to read, understand and respond to a wide range of literary texts from around the world • develop an appreciation of the ways in which writers achieve their literary effects • develop the skills needed for literary study • explore, through literature, the cultures of their own and other societies • find enjoyment in reading literature and understand its influence on individuals and societies.
Bangla qualification enables learners to: • their ability to read, understand and respond to material from a variety of sources • their ability to communicate accurately in writing, matching style to audience and purpose • their understanding of the structure and variety of language • their ability to translate from English into the target language • an understanding of themselves and the world around them • an appreciation of the richness, beauty and diversity of the Bangla language.
